Packer at a food company

The Kiwi season is set to begin in a few weeks!

For this company in Zeebrugge, we are seeking packers who will be responsible for packing kiwis according to customer requirements. As a packer at BNFW, you will play an essential role in preparing our products for shipment. You will work according to BNFW's quality standards to ensure that only the best products leave our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Carefully and efficiently packing fruit products according to BNFW guidelines.
• Inspecting the quality of the fruit and separating items that do not meet standards.
• Ensuring proper labeling and packaging of products.
• Adhering to workplace hygiene and safety regulations.
• Contributing to a clean and organized work environment.

Belgian New Fruit Wharf is a company specialized in the import and distribution of fruit, including kiwis. They have a location in the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium, where they receive, store, and distribute fruit to various destinations.

BNFW plays a significant role in the international fruit trade, as the port of Zeebrugge is a crucial hub for the import and export of fresh produce, including kiwis. The company handles the reception of fruit shipments, processing and sorting the products, and then distributing them to various markets in Belgium and Europe.

What do we require from you?

• Experience as a packer or in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
• Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks and working in a standing position.
• Willingness to work in a refrigerated environment, as fruit storage is often chilled.
• Team spirit and good communication skills.
• You are willing to work in 2 shifts (morning/evening) and/or day shift.
• You are enthusiastic and motivated.
• You can work accurately and have an eye for detail.
• Good command of Dutch or English.
• You prioritize personal hygiene, as you will be working with food.

You are available to work in at least two of the three shifts:

• From 6:00 am to 1:45 pm
• From 8:00 am to 3:45 pm
• From 2:00 pm to 9:45 pm
